The Capristo exhaust system for the Ferrari 458 Italia/Spider comprises the following three components:

1. Sport Rear Muffler System with link pipes
2. Thermal Insulation around the rear muffler
3. Remote Control Device with valve actuator

The car is louder on start-up, idle, at low rpm, and all the way through the midrange where the stock system delivers little sound. There is no longer any waiting for the valves in the stock exhaust to open as the system comes with a remote control allowing the driver to have total control over sound delivery and choose from silent to extreme at the touch of a button.

A deeper, fuller, throaty sound at low rpm is always present, regardless of throttle opening and in addition there are plenty of racecar style effects, however the exhaust is purchased for its incredible pitch whereby the tonal quality is dramatically changed to ensure that F1-style high pitched scream.

Although loud, it is not excessive and the frequency produced by the exhaust tone means that volume is never unpleasant - a complete transformation from stock.�
